We will explore the most suitable ICT technologies for seafood businesses (salmon, shellfish and seaweed producers and processers) and their wider supply chains. Delegates will develop an understanding of the practical application of blockchain technology and consider how this could add value to their business and sector. We will share the research and the experiences of international partners and participants on how blockchain can be used by businesses to help accelerate the transition towards sustainable production. The conference will explore how full blockchain traceability through the supply chain, from primary producer to consumer, can add value associated to provenance, environmental stewardship, and increasing quality and trust, particularly by SMEs in remote and sparsely populated areas.
